Presenting Lemondrop, the lady Budgie. I have beautiful blue and white feathers, and a lemon-yellow head, which was probably the inspiration for my name. At 2 years old Iím already an officially retired mommy with an overworked reproductive system. I was in awful shape when I was rescued from a local shelter recently, with a swollen abdomen, caused by an old broken egg, and a bunch of missing feathers. I received immediate medical attention, and in foster care I was successfully rehabilitated! Now that Iím feeling all better, Iíve become a very curious little lady, and I love to see what youíre doing. I play a little game with myself, which I call "Guess What the Funny Humans Are Doing," where I try and figure your actions out. Itís a good thing I donít keep track of points, because most of the time I have no idea! I love to sit and chat with my foster mom, and I also answer the other birds that I can hear from the next room ñ even though they seem to be talking cockatiel. Iím what one might call a ërecovering seed junkieí; the roadís been long and painful, but Iíve had a great support team all the way. Actually, the road hasnít been that long, and it certainly hasnít been painful, but I am beginning to convert to pellets. When itís time for bed at night, my foster mom laughs as I climb to the top of my cage and hang upside down ñ yep, just like a bat. Hey, I donít understand all the stuff that you funny humans do, so I figure I should keep you guessing a little, too! If youíre looking for a little lady budgie to add some cheer and chatter to your loving home, then Iíd be a perfect choice!
