Hi There,
My name is Alfalfa. Not sure where that name came from but it`s ok with me just the same. My mate, Darla, just recently passed away and I am lonely for another mate. Darla was a wonderful companion and would want me to be happy I think.

Darla and me went way back to when we were just kids. Actually, we`re just lucky to be alive `cause last year our original family gave us up to the shelter and our days were numbered. You`d think that our family would have wanted to keep us, but like so many birds that are bought like us, people get them and then find out they aren`t something they can just put in the corner and then feed and water like a plant. So they gave us up to the shelter and we were sooo scared in there! If fact I got so nerved up that I started pickin` my feathers off me, with all them strange people around lookin` at us and keepin` us in a small cage didn`t help either. I tell ya, it just aint easy bein` a bird nowadays, no matter how pretty you are!

Thankfully, a nice Mickaboo lady came in and got us springed from there and since then we were happy to be alive again! We`ve been in a nice big cage and we get all kinds of good food, thats good for us too! None of that all-seed diet for us. I calmed down and quit pickin` at at my feathers and we were livin` the good life. We even got to come out of our cage and do some flyin` which we just loved doin! Things were goin` so great but then Darla swallowed a piece of string and it got stuck inside her and she died on me suddenly. Now I`m a lonely little Lovebird who wants to meet another nice Lovebird to be companions.

I also want to find a nice Adopter Family to bring us home so we can have a nice Forever Home. We`re real glad that Mickaboo helps these Adopter Families learn how to take care of us too `cause we`re Exotic Birds that came from Africa so we need to be treated differently than a dog or a cat. If you`d like to see me just get ahold of that guy who is the coordinator for us by clickin` on that link thing above.

Thanks for listening to my story and I hope to see you one of these days. Alfalfa
