FOSTER UPDATE 5/24/13!! Hi, it`s me again. I have been living with a beautiful girl named Christi for almost a month now. I have tried to call her attention several times, I sing for her, I show her my head, but she doesn`t really seem very interested in me yet... Apparently, due to my singing, I might be a boy. Anyway, since Christi arrived, I`m a bit more relaxed and don`t call on my old buddy Rosie the lovebird the way I used to. Christi showed me how to play with toys and I do play a little bit now. I now love spinach and kale and will touch a little bit of the broccoli that our foster mom gives us. I also got used to eating Nutri-An Cakes, which the vet said was good for me. I am also getting used to being sprayed with water and enjoy a good bath in the sun. Hey, and guess what, I left my cage the other day and found that really cool! Hi! My name is Meili. I am a gentle and sweet bird who has gone through some tough times in life and am now trying to recover from them. No one really knows what happened to me but I might have had an accident that took the sight of my right eye. Fortunately, I am still a very curious and active bird. My foster mom thinks that I need a buddy of my kind to help me with my fear of almost everything. Oh yes I am afraid of almost everything that produces a sound but am working on it! Right now I am really attached to my little love bird buddy Rosie, who recently fell in love with that guy behind the mirror and doesn`t want to have anything to do with me. My foster mom is trying to change my diet now giving me healthy stuff to eat. I still prefer the seeds though but have now learnt to touch some green leaves, which made my foster mom really happy.
