Hi, Eddy here. I`m best friends with Clay (on the left) and we are waiting for a foster or adoptive home. The vet says we "are super clowns" so we were nice to her and agreed to pose for this picture . . . SMILE!

I am one lucky little bird. I am a baby from the Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill flock. Mickaboo got an urgent call from an SFACC officer who picked me up, telling them I was very ill and asking if they could take me in. Well, they immediately came to rush me to the vet. I overheard the conversation, so I am really grateful. They said I was looking pretty bad, but the nice doctors quickly got me stabilized.

In the beginning I was on medications, fluids, and being tube fed. No one seemed to know why but I just did not feel like eating, despite being otherwise much alert and checking out the place. The doctors saw that Clay made me feel like eating again and we became best friends. Clay, take it away with your story!!

Hi, I am also one of the famous parrots from the flock in SF. I was named Clay because I was found around Clay and Drumm streets by Ferry Park, the main THC parrot hangout. We all get named after SF streets, and some of us are lucky enough to be named where we were found!

So, my story is: Mickaboo got a call from SFACC and then came and took me to the vet. I was a bit wobbly and not feeling at all well. I had some kind of bacteria infection, which was treated and now I am better. So I am looking for a foster home with my new friend Eddy. He and I are getting to know each other as we are sharing a cage, as you can see in our picture. We are special needs birds, and the Telegraph Hill tea can tell you the details. If you are interested in fostering or adopting us, contact the Telegraph Hill Conure team and let them know you would like to meet us!

And, stay tuned for updates!
