Hi, my owner passed away and unfortunately me and the other birds living at the home were really not doing well, so a nice person took us all to the vet. Now I`m living in a nice foster home that has lots of medical experience as I have a lot of arthritis and mobility issues, and those are also leading to some infection problems. I`m on antibiotics right now trying to get better. I`m glad to have some healthcare and working on feeling better! (Sept 2022)
In nature, cockatiels live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single cockatiel to a household if there is already at least one cockatiel living there. Otherwise, cockatiels must be adopted in groups of two or more.
