Hello there, our names are Sid and Nancy.
Please don`t judge us by our names, we are nice lovebirds that have had a hard life. My name is Sid and I care for my mate, Nancy.
You see, Nancy`s almost completely blind and she needs a little extra help around the cage. I take great care of her and am always by her side.
You may have noticed that I`m missing a few feathers on my head. That`s because Nancy feels the need to over-groom and has been working on my feathers a little too much. She means well but can`t really see that my feathers don`t need the preening that she`s giving them and I don`t have the heart to push her away. I do have a bit of liver disease (bad diet previously) and a heart arrhythmia but other than that I do fine and am able to take care of my special girl. Right now, Nancy is on medicine for an infection but should be done with the meds any day now.
So, I sit here telling you the whole sad history of our short little lives and I know that it`s not very conducive to getting adopted but we really would like a forever home to call our own. After all of the illness and bad living conditions, we deserve a nice happy life with a family that can give us the love that we`re looking for.
Will you be that family?
