Hello, I`m Huevo. I came to Mickaboo via the Santa Cruz shelter in September 2020. Since then I`ve been hanging out at a foster homeI am friendly and nurturing, enjoy music and an active, lively environment. I am not as chunky as I look in my photo. I don`t like that darn camera, and I puff up when it comes near me! I will eat from your hand, and happiily interact with people and bird buddies. I love showers and eating fresh veggies such as celery, romaine and broccoli. I`m active, love playing with toys and flying back and forth in the cage. I sure would like a forever home, somewhere to settle and enjoy the company of MY people and budgie friend(s). Maybe with you?

Check out my feature in Mickaboo`s May 2021 virtual adoption fair at this link: Note: I am not bonded with Luxa, we can be adopted separately.

In nature, parakeets (budgerigars) live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single parakeet to a household if there is already at least one parakeet living there. Otherwise, parakeets must be adopted in groups of two or more.
