Hi, I`m Tilley. I`m a little girl budgie who came to Mickaboo via the Sonoma Animal Shelter in June 2021. I was treated for an eye injury and a wing injury, which are both healing. I hold my right wing slightly out but the vet thinks I should be okay. I`m probably about 6 or 7 years old.

I am active in quarantine in my new foster home. I eat Avi-cakes, Zupreem pellets and a little parakeet mix, along with veggies, greens, a fruit mid day, and a little millet in the evening. I`m not much for the greens, but my foster mom keeps trying. My foster mom says, "My goodness this little girl is darling and she anxious to get out of the cage. She is pretty, hand tame and very friendly." She says I am so cute, and I like to hang upside down & chirp a lot. I am full of energy and someone really loved me before I got lost.

Due to my wing injury, I fly low to the ground and not very well. It may be better if I am in a home without cats and dogs because my mobility is limited. Please pick me! I`d be a perfect addition to YOUR forever home!
In nature, parakeets (budgerigars) live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single parakeet to a household if there is already at least one parakeet living there. Otherwise, parakeets must be adopted in groups of two or more.
