Hi, I`m Andrew. I came to Mickaboo via the Silicon Valley Humane Society in January 2022. I was living with a flock of females until it became apparent I was NOT a Nellie. I was moved to a new foster home so I can hang with the boys there and avoid any unwanted egg-laying from the female gang.
I am eating Nutri-an cakes, a bit of seed, and some Roudybush pellets and greens. I am the most playful and adventurous of my current foster flock. I am curious, love toys and hang at all kinds of angles to explore and play. I am the first to go to any fresh vegetables, especially broccoli and salad leaves. I interact well with the other foster budgies. I am the youngest but also the biggest.
I am a cutie who deserves a forever home. Maybe with you?? Young budgies are potentially trainable, you know!
In nature, parakeets (budgerigars) live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single parakeet to a household if there is already at least one parakeet living there. Otherwise, parakeets must be adopted in groups of two or more.
