Hi, I`m Spinach, a female budgie who came to Mickaboo in February 2022 via the Hayward Shelter. I am a gorgeous solid pastel green with light gray wing tips. My foster mom says I am very chatty, active, curious, and a fast flyer!

I am curious about greens and you can see me in my profile pic chewing on a whole romaine head! I am getting nutritious Nutri-an cakes for my main meal. I will occasionally eat out of my foster mom`s hand when the other budgies do. I like to hang on the colorful hanging popsicle stick toy in my cage and munch on the wood. I also like throwing around and shredding some other toys.

My foster mom even thinks I might be a little more intelligent than the average budgie! Maybe YOU have the time to work with me and find out for sure in YOUR forever home?

In nature, parakeets (budgerigars) live in large flocks. A single bird in a cage spends much of his/her life being lonely because humans have things they must do that take them away. We therefore will only adopt a single parakeet to a household if there is already at least one parakeet living there. Otherwise, parakeets must be adopted in groups of two or more.
