Our friend Stupid the Bird is back to provide the real motivation for migration, in this Diamond Lil strip from January 12, 2013:
Six Chix from one year ago today. Speaks for itself.
Today we introduce a new semi-regular addition to the lineup. Birdbrains is an undated single-panel 'toon which is avian-focused about one-third of the time. The artist, Thom Bluemel, does not do a new comic every day, and repeats run on his off days, so these will have no date references. (As near as I can tell, he's been doing these for a little over a decade, so I'm confident we'll be able to feature one or two per month.)
For our first outing, we look in on a flock of wild birds in the park who have advanced beyond the usual handouts.
WuMo from two years ago today. Who's in charge of this bust ... the Department of Labor, or the Humane Society?
Speed Bump from seven years ago today. Ummmm, in this case, yes it does ...
Frank & Ernest from one year ago today. LOL
The Other Coast from January 8 of last year. Clever, but why aren't the birds flying to find trees elsewhere? (Yeah, I know ... because then this wouldn't have a premise; I will refrain from asking where the sticks, coal and carrot came from ...)
Six Chix from January 17 of last year. Nothing like mom's home cooking.
We're going to be jumping all over the calendar this month to handle the usual difficulty when multiple strips share a publication date.
Therefore, today features Peanuts from January 15, 1974:
